I am exhausted just thinking about this........See what I mean, money pit??
All joking aside, it is in a wonderful neighborhood and awesome schools! Great downtown area with many restaurants and shops all within walking distance, this is the reason why we bought it! Hopefully we can build some sweat equity, so in a couple of years when the market is better, we can turn around and sell.

Whew... We sure have been busy!

Warning, this may be the last post for a while. We closed on our house today, so between Andy training for an Ironman and renovating a house, we are a little tied up!
Let me catch you up. For the past two weekends we have been traveling. Two weekends ago we met up with friends and family for a camping/triathlon/Reid's first round of birthday parties at Pokagon State Park in Northern Indiana. It would have been an awesome weekend if there weren't crazy thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday.

This past weekend we drove down to Ohio, Andy dropped me and Reid off in Jackson, then he continued on to WV to do some whitewater rafting for a friend's bachelor party. I stayed and helped as much as I could with my cousins wedding preparations, attended the rehearsal dinner and wedding. Andy met back up with us Sunday night to make the tail end of the reception. The wedding was beautiful and Reid had a great time crawling around in the grass with all his cousins and Great Aunt & Great Uncle!

Monday we had round two of his birthday parties. We had a great turnout and loved seeing everyone! Thanks everyone for coming out and thanks for all his gifts, you really didn't have to. Next year we should have a swap and just swap toys!

Thanks again to all for sharing in Reid's first Birthday! We love you all and enjoy visiting with everyone!
Today we closed on our house and the work has already begun. Andy just called to say that the kitchen sink faucet is ceased up, the two toilets are not working properly, one leaks and the other does not work at all and the bathroom tile is tiled directly onto drywall!! AH the joy of remodeling!! Bring it on, money pit!

Bedtime Stories

I videoed Andy tonight reading one of Reid's favorite books and Andy's all time favorite! There is a monster at the end of this book, by Grover given to Andy as a Christmas gift in 1979 from his cousin Tara. Andy says he tries to read it the same way his mom read it to him. So cute! Hopefully Andy won't be upset that the whole world is seeing his softer side. I just thought it was too sweet not to share. Thanks O'Days and Wingerters for the precious memories!

Favorite Things

Another toy that Andy brought home from work after testing. Ryan, do you want a large size of one of these??

Some of Reid's Favorite Things
Being outside- Taking a stroller ride, riding is his bike trailer, riding in his police car, eating leaves, swinging, visiting the neighbor kids.
Being in water- taking baths, playing in Obie's water bowl, drinking from Obie's water bowl.
Eating-EVERYTHING, but some of his favorites, cottage cheese and tomatoes, fish, esp salmon, meatballs, blueberries, broccoli, dirt, black beans, rice and last but not least animal crackers, which he calls by name, ookie!
Watching People- that's right, he is a people watcher and he points at EVERYONE! NOSY!
Pushing objects-he pushes around cars, blocks, mommy's cell phone, laundry basket, anything that he can push and crawl along at the same time.
SCREAMING- Both neighbors several houses down on either side of us has made comments on how strong his lungs are! They are probably very happy we are leaving!! No, they love him, his name is Officer Reid, when he rides in the police car.
Andy met us at the park the other day for lunch, here is Reid pointing at daddy "daddy"when he sees him pull up in the car! 50 yards away!
