I am one month old!

GOOD DAY!!!!

It is a good day today! Andy returns from Montreal, where he has been since Tuesday. I can finally get some rest, food and take a nice long shower!! Its amazing how quick you can take a shower, eat and clean up, when at any second the baby could awake.
The other good thing that makes today a good day, is that I am wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans right now!! WOOHOO!!!! However they are a little tighter than I remember, but they are fully zipped and I can walk and sit in them!! Not bad for a little over three weeks from delivery! Can you tell I am excited?
Tomorrow we will take some pictures of the Reid man and post those later.

Catching up!

Last Friday, Reid had another weight check up. He is now up to 7lb 11oz! He is finally on track to where he needs to be, the pediatrician says that by his next check up in a few weeks he should be well over 81/2 lbs. The pediatrician wants to take the "little dude" home with him. He can't believe how easy going he is and just looks around the room while lying on the examining table without a care in the world. He usually pees and poops while lying on table or scale and FARTS a LOT!! We all just cackle at him and he grins, he even laughed out loud while we were there! Andy and I could not believe it, but it was a laugh a lot like his cousin Hadley's.

On Sunday, Fathers Day,I got up and fixed Andy's favorite breakfast, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, while Daddy and Reid snuggled together in bed. Andy keeps telling me that it is ok to spoil him for a few more months..... I agree for now. Reid already has his Daddy wrapped around his finger, and I thought Andy would be the disciplinarian, boy are we in trouble!

Reid is eating about every 2-3 hours during the day and eats about every 3-4 hours during the night. Last night he slept for 5 hours straight until I woke him up to eat. Mommy was very uncomfortable, she needed Reid to eat!

Well I did it!

I gained 2 oz. I am up to 7lbs 7oz. Mommy and Daddy are happy. I have to tell you the truth, it is tiring eating all the time.

My parents helped out last week. Thanks again for all the great food you prepared! I think they are just as excited about Reid as we are...

Earlier in the week we took Reid in for his check up. He dropped one half of a pound and the doctor would like to see him put on a little more weight. We are now giving him supplement on top of nursing. I now get to partake in feeding and it is a great bonding experience!

Obie manages to sneak a snooze on the couch when we aren't looking.

Kari is doing great and feeling better each day.

We go back to the doctor on Monday for another weigh in to see if he put any more weight on. With all the feeding, I expect he should.
