Getting into things...
Since Reid is completely mobile now he is getting into EVERYTHING!!! He loves magazines, cords and pulling Obie's hair! The only way I can keep him from eating everything in sight is to keep that pacifier in his mouth. I don't know if that is the best thing to do, but it sure beats choking on paper or chewing on cords. I don't want to be the mom that says no to everything, because I do want him to explore his surroundings, but one day he will figure out that if he removes the pacifier he can put other things in his mouth. At that point we will have to start telling him no and redirect his attention to something else, but until then, the pacifier works for now.
We had a nurse appointment this morning for Reid to get one of his shots. Since we are spreading them out, instead of getting all at once, we have to go into the Dr office every month, but it gives me peace of mind that his little body is not getting bombarded with so many shots at once. Especially since the Medical field thinks that age is more important than weight when it come to vaccinations. I have a problem with the Center for Disease Control blanketing the vaccination schedule to months in age, when I have seen many babies younger than Reid that are 10 lbs heavier than him. They really need to look into that when giving vaccines by age rather than going by weight. Most other medication doseages go by weight, especially infants, ie Tylenol! Reid is 40th percentile in weight and height for his age, so almost average, but just a lb or two is huge when you only weigh 17 lbs. Anyways..... that's my 2 Cents!!
Andy will be returning tonight late from Montreal, (he missed his flight, long story), so Reid will see him in the morning. I will try to get it on video. Last time when Andy went away for business and came back, Reid just lit up when he saw his daddy! So precious, makes me melt!
Here are some pictures of Reid eating his favorite thing! Thanks for the outfit Jamie and Scott! He looks like a little dude in it!
